In light of Mike's mother reaching out and her willingness to deal with the issues presented, and do it in reasonable manner, we made a decision as a group to clear his sheet and give him a fresh start. We believe she has proven to be the type of concerned parent we should all strive to be.

That is a great move on the teams part! It is great to see a fair reasoning to clear the board on this one by the blog. But if this kid ever gets to doing something horrible , at least there is still evidence out there, but meanwhile, he can see the consequences of his actions and his mother is trying to make sure he is going to fly right! These kids do not realize or some may not care, but the things they post on social media can haunt them for the rest of their lives. If you would not want the world to see it, do not post it!
ReplyDeletei personally disagree. imho, i believe you'd be doing the family a favor leaving this reminder of where he's heading. they might not like the taste of the medicine, but whats better for what ails them?
ReplyDeletecase and point, further down the page, i believe theres a kid who you delved out as having been busted, tried straightening out, and went right back to the easy way.
i hope this is just an exception, and you dont start taking down these losers pics/posts whenever they have their mothers ask you nicely!
well at least they still have copies of the screen shots, so it is not like they cannot go back up
ReplyDeleteMy son was deleted because everything that was posted on their was untrue, as I thought I made clear in my comment, My child was the one sticking up his middle finger. Not in no picture with any guns, don't even attend Goose Creek High. The only info that was put up on this blog about him that was correct is that he often quotes lines from rap music. Which to some who didn't know any better would think that was him speaking. You can put his picture back up there all you want, my child does not get in to any trouble and doesn't fit the profile that was put up on this blog. If he did I would be doing something about it. I would not be taking up for him. I believe in keeping crime off the streets and am definitely against drugs. And so far my 16 yr old son has not gotten into any trouble, does not do drugs and makes good grades in school. So say what you want . But at least try to get your story straight before you talk about people.
