An alert reader sent us this photo of the newest Adidas sneakers made for our ghetto all-stars. They spend a lot of time in chains anyway so why not make a few dollars off of it?
"Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?" This was on the official Adidas Facebook page with the same image as above. I was amused by the uproar over these shoes. Certain elements claimed they were racist because they reminded them of slavery. The first thing I thought of when I saw them was that they reminded me of ankle bracelets that criminals wear when they're on house arrest. I thought maybe thugs would like them because they seem to enjoy their 'street cred'. We can agree that they are ridiculous looking shoes....but then I would never camp out to be the first in line to buy any shoes... like some people do.
Pardon the language, but that is truly the ugliest f*cking shoe I have EVER seen. See...I used an asterisk. I can be a lady when it's called for. It's fugly. Fubar. Mofugly. MoTHUGLY!
