In North Carolina the Department of Public Safety is in charge of the prison system. Our first North Carolina inmate to be profiled in Charleston Thug Life is Lorenzo Lee Pope. He goes by the name "
G-shine Lo-lo". Pope, his cell phone and his Thugbook account are doing a life sentence at Bertie Correctional Institution for a 1st Degree Murder conviction. Pope claims to be a member of the Gshine Bloods.
